Fall 2024 Newsletter Highlights

Seasonal Welcome from our Executive Director

Fall is a crucial time for gardeners and native wildlife. Our Executive Director shares important tips for respecting our native neighbors during this season.

  • Keep some areas of leaf fall for insect reproduction
  • Leave wildlife to find their own food
  • Keep cats inside to protect small animals and birds
  • Wear bright colors when hiking
  • Allow native plants to wither naturally

Program Highlight: One Billion Blueberries

Our new initiative aims to increase the population of native edible berry plants in New Jersey and neighboring states.

The goal is to maintain healthy populations of these berries on human properties, hoping they will spread back into the wild.

Join us in preserving our edible history!
